Billy Dee Wiiliams – Yıldız Savaşları fan’ları için Lando Calrissian – 1959’dan beri film endüstrisinde çalışıyor. 6 Nisan 1937’de New York’ta doğdu. Aktörlük kariyerine başlamadan önce New York City lisesinde oyunculuk dersi aldı.

Williams ondan sonraki birkaç yılda küçük televizyon ve film rollerinde ve arada sırada Broadway oyunlarında oynadı. İlk büyük denemesi Emmy kazanmış televizyon filmi Brian’s Song(1971)’tu ve sonra Lady Sings the Blues(1972)’ta Diana Ross ile oynadı. Birkaç oundan sonra Williams, The Empire Strkies Back’te Cloud City’nin yöneticisi Landro Calrissian rolünü kazandı. Bundan üç yıl sonra da Return Of The Jedi’da rolüne devam etti.

1989’da Tim Burton’un Batman’in de bölge avukatı Harvey Dent’i oynadı.
